Mutant p53 gain of function

We use p53 as a model to determine how cancer-associated mutations acquire new activities through altered structural and signaling interactions.

Cancer-associated p53 mutations differ in structure, residual activity and interaction partners. The laboratory investigates these differences rather than treating mutant p53 as a single entity.

By integrating biochemical, cellular and genomic evidence, this programme aims to identify variant-specific mechanisms and clinically meaningful biomarkers that can support precision oncology.
